Glimm International BV was founded in the Netherlands in 2000 by Bjorn Bijster. Between 2000 and 2002, he collaborated with Professor Reitsma from the University of Aachen to develop several high-tech projection films and screens for the global digital media market.

In 2002, the company launched a production facility for projection films and screens in the Netherlands. Since then, Bjorn Bijster has expanded the company’s innovations into various media applications, including projection foils, projection films, front and rear projection screens, glass displays, holographic solutions, interactive touch systems, and large 3D hologram projections for both indoor and outdoor use. The company also pioneered transparent LED film applications.

By 2024, Glimm International BV had established itself as a highly innovative display company with 24 years of experience in developing new display concepts, creating prototypes, and delivering turnkey display and hologram solutions to a global market. The company’s facility is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

As the Managing Director of Qi Media and co-founder of Berlin Insiders, Louay Ghabra brings to the table over 15 years of dynamic leadership in the media sector, complemented by a specialized skill set in news broadcasting, television, and radio. His experience spans from producing features and documentaries to hands-on roles in video editing and audio production.

Louay’s career trajectory has seen him rise from reporter to producer for prestigious media organizations like France 24 and Dubai Media Incorporated. In these capacities, he has been instrumental in shaping editorial discussions, crafting compelling news stories, and leading documentaries and special event coverage, including landmark events like Expo 2020 Dubai and the World Future Energy Summit.
Adding another layer to his extensive profile, Louay has established a broad network of connections within media circles and among decision-makers in the GCC, a testament to his long-standing experience and engagement in the region.

Known for his innovative managerial style, Louay excels in team assembly, program orchestration, and creative writing. He has consistently overseen entire project lifecycles, from the financial planning and timeline coordination stages to impeccable execution, fostering seamless collaboration between internal and external studio environments.

A graduate of Damascus University, Louay holds a BA in Media Studies and has earned specialized certifications, including an Avid Trainer Certificate. Fluent in Arabic, English, and German, he is uniquely positioned to drive Qi Media’s objectives and leave a lasting imprint on the media industry.

This includes crafting creative platforms and copy, proficient Arabic & English writing and composition, product naming, and developing brand manifestos. Her prowess extends to creating compelling digital and mobile app content, managing corporate communications, and curating content for museums and galleries. Hazar’s linguistic abilities shine through her expert translation and transcreation services between English and Arabic, coupled with simultaneous translation, moderation, and interviewing capabilities. Additionally, she has a flair for research, content development, and even songwriting. With a proven track record in both documentary and commercial film, Kais recently founded Dahoul Studio in Dubai to further expand his creative horizons. The studio serves as a platform for Kais’s versatile filmmaking skills, which are evident in his current role as a Commercial Director and Director of Photography (DOP). He has lent his visual storytelling expertise to high-end brands such as Nike, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vogue Arabia, Adidas, and Elie Saab, producing captivating content that resonates with a global audience. With Dahoul Studio, Kais aims to bridge the gap between commercial and documentary filmmaking, utilizing his extensive experience to produce work that’s both commercially viable and socially impactful.
